Cécile Barbeito is a trainer and researcher at the Autonomous University of Barcelona’s School for a Culture of Peace. She has a degree in Political Science, a postgraduate degree in Peace Culture and Mental Health in cases of political violence and natural disasters, a master’s degree in Educational Evaluation, and is currently a doctoral student.
She has worked for the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), the Council of Europe, Oxfam-Intermón, the Bofill Foundation and the Evens Foundation. She has participated in social initiatives such as the Farewell to Arms Campaign, the Peace Education Group, War Resisters’ International, and the Platform for Fair Taxation.
She has published books such as 122 acciones fáciles (y difíciles) para la paz, Catarata, 2016; Diplomàcia de ciutats, eines i iniciatives de les ciutats europees per construir la pau, Diputació de Barcelona, 2008; and, as co-author, Competències per a transformar el món, Graó, 2018 and Jocs de pau.
