Director of Cooperation for Development of the Generalitat de Catalunya
Expert in international cooperation, Director-General of Development Cooperation of the Government of Catalonia since January 2016.
A civil servant in the Barcelona City Council, he served as director of the Youth Service and manager of the District of Nou Barris. Between 1992 and 1996, he was responsible for humanitarian aid and manager of Barcelona’s Eleventh District in Sarajevo, a task for which he was awarded the distinction of Honorary Citizen of the City of Sarajevo.
He has also been the director of Educational Services and director of the International Solidarity area of the Barcelona City Council, commissioner of the Mayor’s Office for International Cooperation, and director of the International and Cooperation Area of the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona. He was a member of the UNHCR Steering Committee.
