As part of the annual conference<\/a> of the Center Del\u00e0s d’Estudis per la Pau dedicated to feminist security, the ICIP and the organisation will organise a meeting with the professor of Politics and International Relations at Royal Holloway (University of London), Laura Sjoberg<\/strong>. The meeting will be on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m. at La Fede.cat (T\u00e0pies, 1), Barcelona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sjoberg is an American feminist scholar of international relations and international security. Her work specialises in gendered interpretations of just war theory and feminist studies of women’s safety and violence in global politics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting will include exchanging experiences and a workshop to analyse concrete proposals for action. This workshop will discuss issues such as the progress made in introducing the feminist perspective in the peace and security field or the pending challenges and how to deal with them. We will also reflect on how the global policy of peace and security is intertwined with local dynamics and how to move towards discussing the intersectionality of oppression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
