\ud83d\udd17<\/span>European Peacebuilding Liason Office, EPLO<\/a><\/h3>

The goal of this European platform of NGOs is to influence the public policies of the European Union for the construction of peace and the prevention of violent conflicts. Likewise, it is a space for cooperation and collaboration between European organizations of reference in the promotion of peace and also offers specialized training in this field. The network includes 48 member institutions from 18 different countries. ICIP is the only member of Spain. The ICIP has been a member of the AIPAZ network since its creation in 2008. \ud83d\udd17<\/span>Taula Catalana per la Pau i els Drets Humans a Col\u00f2mbia<\/a><\/h2>

Since January 2021, the ICIP has been an observer member of the Catalan Table for Peace and Human Rights in Colombia, a platform of Catalan entities working to build peace in Colombia. La Taula, created in 2002, is a space for solidarity, awareness and political advocacy in Catalan society. The participation of the ICIP allows for strengthening the links and collaboration with the entities that make up the platform.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\ud83d\udd17<\/span>Taula Catalana pels Drets Humans i la Pau a l\u2019Am\u00e8rica Central<\/span><\/h3>

In spring 2024, nineteen Catalan organizations came together to establish this new platform with the aim of strengthening the response to violence and human rights crises in Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, and Nicaragua. The Platform serves as a space for reflection, advocacy, and solidarity, seeking to reinforce ties with the region and highlight the initiatives of Central American civil society.<\/p>

ICIP participates through its line of work on “Violence in Non-war Settings” and co-organized the public launch of the Platform with the conference \u201cHuman Rights and Peace in Central America: Challenges and Opportunities\u201d<\/em>, held in Barcelona in June 2024.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\ud83d\udd17<\/span>Latin American Network of Women, Peace and Security<\/h3>

Within the framework of the “Alternatives of security” line of work, ICIP works with two Colombian NGOs (CIASE and CINEP) and two Mexican NGOs (Serapaz and JASS Mesoamerica) in the project to create the Latin American Network of Women, Peace and Security. The platform’s objective is to contribute to the construction of peace in Latin America, the Caribbean and their diasporas, from a feminist perspective and through the generation of knowledge, innovation and critical collective action on security and dialogue.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\ud83d\udd17 <\/span>The platform for the Construction of Peace in Mexico<\/a><\/h3>

ICIP is one of the organizations promoting this Platform that has been taking shape since 2019, partly because of the I International Forum for the Construction of Peace in Mexico that ICIP, Serapaz<\/a> and the Taula per M\u00e8xic<\/a> organized in Barcelona in September 2019. The creation of the Platform was formalized on October 28, 2022, with a symbolic act in the community of Acteal, Chiapas.<\/p>

It is an articulating effort of a local, regional, national and international nature. It comprises organizations and activists, journalists, artists and academics committed to transforming violence through a peacebuilding approach. It wants to be a space for shared analysis, knowledge exchange, solidarity and collective action.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\ud83d\udd17<\/span>Consell Catal\u00e0 de Foment de la Pau<\/strong><\/a><\/p>

ICIP’s director is the second vice president of this consultative and participatory body. The Council comprises representatives of the Administration of the Generalitat, local entities, parliamentary groups, non-governmental organizations for peace and other relevant institutions and personalities recognized for their activities in favour of peace. The Consell is the body that proposes candidates to be members of the ICIP Governing Board elected by the Parliament of Catalonia.<\/p>

\ud83d\udd17<\/span>Ciutats Defensores dels Drets Humans<\/strong><\/a><\/p>

Since 2013, the ICIP has been part of the public institutions and organizations that support the “Cities defending human rights” project, in which different Catalan municipalities participate. The initiative aims to promote the work of human rights activists worldwide through their testimony and raise awareness among citizens about the importance of the defence of human rights. El ICIP ha actuado como Secretar\u00eda T\u00e9cnica de la Comisi\u00f3n de la Verdad de Colombia en Europa (2019-2022).
