The International Meeting of Women Searchers is open to women searchers from around the world who, through their struggle for truth, justice, memory and reparation, are making invaluable contributions to peacebuilding and the defence of human rights.

To ensure meaningful dialogue and effective working dynamics, participation will be limited to 50 people. In addition to women searchers, the meeting may also include representatives of international organizations, experts, and individuals who accompany search processes and efforts to combat enforced disappearances.

The application period closed on 13 September, and the proposals received are currently being evaluated. During October, following consultations with the partner organizations and institutions, ICIP will contact the applicants to inform them whether they have been selected.

Selection will be based on criteria of diversity, with the aim of bringing together women from a wide range of countries, contexts, ages and experiences. Previous collaboration with ICIP and other partner organizations will also be taken into consideration. Priority will likewise be given to applicants who are able to participate actively in discussions in Catalan, Spanish, English or French, the working languages of the meeting. Applications representing several groups or organisations, and endorsed by them, are particularly encouraged.

ICIP wishes to express its deep respect for the invaluable work carried out by women searchers and their groups. We sincerely appreciate the interest shown in this call and regret that, due to the limited number of places available, it will not be possible to accommodate all applications, much as we would like to do so
