This contest aims to promote creativity and draw attention to the commitment of young people in the field of peace.\u00a0 In this edition, the award-winning entries address gender-based violence, bullying and racism, and include messages of rejection of all forms of discrimination and abuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The contest is aimed at youth between the ages of 12 and 25 and has two categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In <strong>Category 1<\/strong>, aimed at students in secondary school, senior high school, and vocational training school in Catalonia, the winning video clips are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><strong>First prize: \u201cAix\u00f2 ha de canviar\u201d <\/strong><\/strong>(This must change), a video clip created by fourth-year secondary school students at Guillem Cat\u00e0 School in Manresa (Bages), winners of the recording and music production of a rap piece in a professional recording studio with artistic support.&nbsp;The video clip denounces the system with a focus on gender-based violence.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube aligncenter wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"&quot;Aix\u00f2 ha de canviar&quot;\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UTlrTbTQoPA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><strong>Second prize: \u201cEn este infierno\u201d <\/strong><\/strong>(In this hell), a video clip created by students at Montagut School in Santa Susanna (Maresme), winners of a rap workshop conducted by a hip hop professional. In this case, the piece denounces bullying and a call to raise awareness of abuse.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube aligncenter wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"&quot;En este infierno&quot;\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pwm_ctb87Mk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In <strong>Category 2<\/strong>, aimed at young people between the ages of12 and 25 from youth, cultural, civic or socio-educational action centres in Catalonia, the winners are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><strong>First prize: \u201cNo sound bite<\/strong>,<strong>\u201d<\/strong><\/strong> a video clip created by youth at the \u201cSota M\u00ednims Teatre,\u201d a creative artistic workshop at Brians 2 Penitentiary, winners of the recording and music production of a rap piece in a professional recording studio with artistic support.\u00a0The piece is a call in favour of personal empowerment and against discrimination.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube aligncenter wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"&quot;No sound bite&quot;\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RZqfejYFLmw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Second prize: \u201cEl camino de los valientes\u201d <\/strong>(The path of the brave), a video clip created by youth in training at C\u00e0ritas Diocesana of Girona, winners of a workshop conducted by a hip hop professional.\u00a0This piece calls for equality, a denunciation of the discrimination experienced by many immigrant youths in Catalonia.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube aligncenter wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"&quot;El camino de los valientes&quot;\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qwo5nQ9eld8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The ICIP Hip Hop for Peace Contest aims to draw attention to the commitment and creativity of young people in peace culture.\u00a0The contest receives support from the Department of Education, the Directorate-General for Youth and the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The jury of the fifth edition of the ICIP Hip Hop for Peace Contest has announced the winners for 2020.
