Tambi\u00e9n es fundamental para mejorar las sociedades y fortalecer la democracia. Al abordar las causas sist\u00e9micas de los conflictos, son agentes de transformaci\u00f3n social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sin embargo, a pesar de su papel fundamental para la paz y la justicia, se trata de un colectivo a menudo criminalizado y sometido a todo tipo de amenazas y ataques, incluidos los asesinatos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el marco del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipb2021.barcelona\/\">Congreso Mundial por la Paz<\/a>, el ICIP y la Agencia Catalana de Cooperaci\u00f3n al Desarrollo (ACCD), en representaci\u00f3n del programa <a href=\"https:\/\/ciutatsdretshumans.cat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ciudades Defensoras de los Derechos Humanos<\/a>, organizan el domingo 17 de octubre un taller que explorar\u00e1 <strong>las m\u00faltiples conexiones entre defender los derechos humanos y construir la paz.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En la actividad tambi\u00e9n se discutir\u00e1 sobre herramientas y estrategias para responder a las necesidades y los riesgos de la defensa de los derechos humanos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se presentar\u00e1n tambi\u00e9n diversos programas e iniciativas catalanas para apoyar a los y las defensoras de los derechos humanos en el desarrollo de su importante labor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el acto participar\u00e1n:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; <strong>Czarina Musni<\/strong>, National Union of Peoples\u2019 Lawyers, Filipinas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; <strong>Victor Ochen<\/strong>, African Youth Initiative Network, Uganda<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; <strong>Sahar Francis<\/strong>, Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association. Palestina<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; <strong>S\u00edlvia Juventeny,<\/strong> Comisi\u00f3n Catalana de Ayuda al Refugiado. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El taller forma parte de la programaci\u00f3n del Congreso Mundial de la Paz que se realizar\u00e1 en Barcelona del 15 al 17 de octubre. Esta actividad tendr\u00e1 lugar el <strong>domingo 17 de 10.45h a 12.45h<\/strong>. Para asistir al taller o seguirlo a trav\u00e9s de Internet, hay que apuntarse al Congreso.
