El Comit\u00e9 Noruego Nobel ha otorgado el Premio Nobel de la Paz 2013 a la Organizaci\u00f3n para la Prohibici\u00f3n de las Armas Qu\u00edmicas (OPCW) por su trabajo a favor de la eliminaci\u00f3n de las armas qu\u00edmicas, en un momento en que el arsenal qu\u00edmico de Siria ha puesto de relieve la necesidad de acabar con este tipo de armamento.
\nEl Instituto Catal\u00e1n Internacional para la Paz (ICIP) considera que el galard\u00f3n de hoy es un \u00abreconocimiento, sin duda, merecido\u00bb por la \u00abimportante tarea que ha hecho la OPCW los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, que ha contribuido a la eliminaci\u00f3n del 80% de las armas qu\u00edmicas mundiales.\u00bb Asimismo, el ICIP valora positivamente que el premio reconozca la lucha por el desarme, \u00abuno de los supuestos que plante\u00f3 Alfred Nobel en la instauraci\u00f3n del galard\u00f3n\u00bb.
\nEl presidente del ICIP, Rafael Grasa, conf\u00eda en que el Premio Nobel de la Paz 2013 \u00absea un incentivo para que pa\u00edses que todav\u00eda no han ratificado la Convenci\u00f3n para la Prohibici\u00f3n de las Armas Qu\u00edmicas se sumen a ella, entre los cuales hay Sud\u00e1n, Angola, Egipto o Israel\u00bb.
\nPor otra parte, a pesar de expresar una gran gratitud por la concesi\u00f3n del premio a la OPCW, Rafael Grasa considera que, un a\u00f1o m\u00e1s, el Premio Nobel de la Paz \u00abconfirma una tendencia, m\u00e1s que discutible, hacia un tacticisme coyuntural, ya que el galard\u00f3n va a personas o instituciones que tienen especial incidencia en el momento de la concesi\u00f3n, como demuestra la tarea del OPCW en el caso de Siria\u00bb.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
