Art, Culture, and Peace
Art, music, and culture in general have great transformative and healing potential: artistic expression creates safe spaces for dialogue and listening, for processing emotions and trauma, and serves as a tool to keep memory and past experiences alive. Through the multiple languages of art, in creative and innovative ways, we can transform conflict and build peace. Hip-hop culture, as a transformative movement, is a clear example of this potential.
Aware of this, ICIP collaborates with a wide range of cultural actors committed to the promotion of peace. Our partnerships with theatres, museums, festivals, and cultural institutions allow us to spread a culture of peace through new perspectives and forms of expression.
As part of this commitment, we have partnered with institutions such as the TNC (National Theatre of Catalonia), the Pau Casals Foundation, the CCCB, the IMPACTE! Festival, Ruido Photo, and PEN CatalĂ , among others.
