To mark the 25th anniversary of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda, the ICIP and the Escola de Cultura de Pau organise the event “Where Are Peace and Security? Feminist Proposals”, which will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pati Manning Auditorium (Montalegre 7, Barcelona).
The event aims to be a space to rethink what we mean by peace and security from a feminist perspective, recognising the work of women, feminist movements, human rights defenders, LGBTQ+ activists, and other groups who continue to resist and build peace alternatives around the world.
The program will feature a keynote speech by Sarah Taylor, an international expert on gender, peace and security policies, offering an assessment of the 25 years of the Agenda, and a feminist discussion panel with Carmen Magallón, Nour Salameh and Patricia Simón, moderated by Pamela Urrutia.
The event will also include contributions from María and Ana Villellas (Escola de Cultura de Pau) and Sandra Martínez and Maria Eugenia Blandón (ICIP).
The activity is organised with the support of the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation (ACCD) and the Government of Catalonia.
