The autumn tour of the Cities Defending Human Rights project will take place from 30 September to 9 October.  This initiative, launched in 2013 by the City Council of Sant Boi de Llobregat, now includes nearly 30 Catalan municipalities, institutions and organizations.

This edition features four international activists: María de Lourdes Ruiz, “Mama Lulu” (Mexico, search for disappeared persons), Itza López (Nicaragua, exile and human rights), Yara Harake (Lebanon, justice and freedom), and Roland Ngoy (Democratic Republic of the Congo, human rights and resource exploitation).

The defenders will visit towns and cities across Catalonia, sharing their experiences, taking part in talks and activities to raise awareness, and meeting with schools, organizations and institutions.  Their goal is to raise awareness, strengthen solidarity and build networks of support.
